Case Study
Kinteh's African Divas
Louisville, KY
Every website link — on Yelp, Yellow Pages, and Google — points to a Wix page that displays “This domain isn't connected to a website yet.” Every potential new client clicking from any listing hits a dead end.

Kinteh's African Divas is a specialty salon in Louisville, Kentucky serving clients who need expert care for African and natural hair textures. The salon has active listings on Yelp, Yellow Pages, and Google — all pointing to the same website URL. That URL leads to a Wix error page that says: “Looks like this domain isn't connected to a website yet.” The domain was never properly connected to the Wix site. Every client who follows a website link from any directory listing hits that error page and nothing else.
Kinteh's African Divas appears on Yelp, Yellow Pages, and Google with an official website link. That link goes to a Wix page that says the domain isn't connected yet. The salon has no functioning web presence. Every click from every listing is a dead end. This is happening right now.
Louisville is a real market for specialty natural hair salons. Clients looking for an expert in African hair textures are already motivated — they've done their search, found the listing, and clicked the website to learn more. That motivated client hits a Wix error page and is gone. The salon never had a chance.
The Business
Kinteh's African Divas fills a specific niche in the Louisville beauty market: professional care for African and natural hair textures. That specialization is a competitive advantage — there are far fewer salons offering this expertise than general hair salons, which means motivated clients are actively searching and willing to drive for the right fit.
A salon with that positioning has tremendous upside from a proper website. A client searching for “African hair salon Louisville” who finds Kinteh's on Yelp and clicks through — only to hit a Wix error — was never given a chance to become a client.
What We Found
A completely non-functional web presence — with an official website link pointing to a Wix configuration error page across every major directory listing.
Wix Error: “Domain Not Connected”
The Wix site was created but the domain was never connected. Wix shows a configuration error page with instructions to go to Wix.com > Subscriptions > Domains to fix the issue. This is a setup step that was skipped — and it has been skipped for long enough that the URL is now the official website link across all major directory listings.
The result: Kinteh's African Divas has an official website that does not exist. Every click from every listing goes nowhere.
Every Directory Points to the Same Dead URL
Yelp, Yellow Pages, and Google Business all list the same broken URL. This means the broken website isn't a fringe issue — it's the official, verified link on every major platform where potential clients discover the salon. A new client has to make a deliberate effort to find the phone number and call directly, skipping the broken link. Most won't bother.
The Specialty Niche Makes This More Costly
Clients seeking expert African hair care are highly motivated — they've often had bad experiences elsewhere and are specifically searching for a specialist. That motivation means they will search, find Kinteh's, and click the website link. When the website is a Wix error page, the salon is losing its most motivated potential clients — the exact people who would become long-term regulars.
What We'd Build
A real, functioning website for Kinteh's African Divas — one that loads, shows the salon's specialty services, and converts the motivated client who clicked through from Yelp or Google.
A Functioning Site — The Minimum That Needs to Exist
A properly hosted website that actually loads when visited. That is the floor — and it's currently not being met. A live site with the salon name, services, and contact information gives motivated clients somewhere to land.
Specialty Services Front and Center
A services page built around Kinteh's specialty — African braiding, natural hair care, locs, protective styles — positioned to attract clients who are specifically searching for this expertise in Louisville. The niche is the competitive advantage; the website should lead with it.
Directory Sync — All Links Updated
Update the website URL on Yelp, Yellow Pages, and Google Business to point to the new site — so the investment in a proper website actually reaches the clients who are already looking.

The Opportunity
Kinteh's African Divas occupies a specialty niche with real demand in Louisville. Clients who need this expertise are searching specifically for it — and they're willing to commit once they find the right salon. That's a high-value client pipeline that currently goes nowhere because the website doesn't work.
The barrier here is lower than most: not “the site needs a redesign” but “the site needs to exist.” Getting a functioning website in front of the clients who are already looking on Yelp and Google is the entire opportunity.
We've built the spec redesign. Kinteh's can see exactly what a proper online presence could look like — and what it would mean for the clients who are already searching — before committing to anything.
