Signature Hair Designs

Henderson, KY

The browser tab reads “Hair Stylists” — the Yellow Pages directory category, not the business name. The site is a bare YP placeholder with no photos, no branding, and the owner's personal Outlook email exposed publicly with no spam protection.

Signature Hair Designs has been serving Henderson, Kentucky for decades. Owner Jeanne Ferrell Magowan has built a loyal client base through skill and reputation — but the salon's online presence is a bare Yellow Pages placeholder page that doesn't reflect any of that. The page title in the browser tab reads “Hair Stylists” — the YP category — rather than the salon's name. There are no photos, no real about page, and no services listed. The owner's personal Outlook email address is displayed publicly without any spam protection.

Anyone who searches for Signature Hair Designs and clicks the website link lands on a page that could belong to any hair stylist in the country. The tab says “Hair Stylists.” There is no name, no photo, no story. The owner's Outlook email is listed in plain text for any scraper to harvest. This is the digital face of a salon that has served Henderson for years.

Henderson is a small market where every new client counts. Most new business comes through Google searches and word-of-mouth referrals that lead to a website check. A YP placeholder page that says “Hair Stylists” loses that client to the next result — the salon that actually looks like a business.

The Business

Signature Hair Designs is an established salon in Henderson, KY with a reputation built over years of service. The salon has real clients, real skills, and a real community presence. What it doesn't have is a website that reflects any of that.

The LocalSearch/YP placeholder was likely set up as a quick directory listing — not intended to serve as the salon's primary web presence. But that's exactly what it has become. Anyone searching for the salon by name finds this page and has no way to tell anything about the business from it.

What We Found

A directory placeholder masquerading as a real website — with inaccurate hours, exposed contact information, and zero business identity.

Browser Tab Reads “Hair Stylists” — Not the Business Name

The page title — what appears in the browser tab and in Google search results — is set to the Yellow Pages category “Hair Stylists,” not “Signature Hair Designs.” Anyone who finds this page via Google sees a generic category title rather than a business name. There is zero brand recognition in the first thing a visitor reads.

No Photos, No Branding, No Content

The page contains no photos of the salon, no photos of work, no staff bio, no services list, and no branding of any kind. It is a form with a name, phone number, and hours — nothing that would give a prospective client any reason to choose Signature Hair Designs over any other result on the page.

Owner's Personal Email Exposed Publicly

The owner's Outlook address — SignatureHairDesignsKY@outlook.com — is displayed in plain text on the page with no obfuscation or spam protection. Plain-text email addresses on public pages are harvested by scrapers within days and added to spam lists. A professional domain email with a contact form handles this correctly.

Hours Conflict With Google Business Listing

The placeholder page lists Monday–Friday 9–5, Saturday–Sunday Closed. But the salon's Google Business listing indicates Saturday availability. A client who checks the website before coming in on Saturday would believe the salon is closed. Conflicting information between listings costs appointments.

What We'd Build

A proper salon website for Signature Hair Designs — one that shows up correctly in Google, reflects the salon's real identity, and converts visitors into booked appointments.

A Homepage That Represents the Salon

Branded homepage with the salon name, services, staff, and photos — the essentials that turn a search result into a booked appointment. Custom page title and meta so Google shows “Signature Hair Designs — Henderson, KY” instead of “Hair Stylists.”

Professional Contact Setup — No Exposed Personal Email

A domain-based contact email and a proper contact form — so inquiries come in cleanly without exposing a personal address to scrapers. SSL-protected, spam-filtered, professional.

Accurate Hours and Online Booking

Correct hours synced across the website and Google Business listing, with an online booking link or form so clients can schedule directly from the site — no phone tag, no conflicting information.

The Opportunity

Signature Hair Designs has something a website can't manufacture: real tenure in a small market. Clients who've been coming for years are the proof of concept. What's missing is a website that signals that track record to the client who finds the salon for the first time through Google.

Right now, a first-time visitor to the YP placeholder page sees no reason to choose Signature over the next result. A proper website — one that shows the salon's name in the tab, photos of actual work, and correct hours — closes that gap immediately.
